She Stood Alone

I was inspired with this three-stanza poem several years ago. Eventually, it became a song for me that I sing in my personal rituals at home.

She stood alone in the darkness.
She stood alone in the void.
Then She saw Her reflection,
And She fell in love with the boy.

Then She called Him forth,
From the mirror of the night.
And She made love to Her reflection,
And gave birth to the Earth and the Light.

And we are Her reflection,
Giving Her back Her light,
Living in Her love and Her laughter,
Born from the shadows of the night.
