An Object-Charging Chant

I remember hearing this chant many, many years ago, but I have no clue where it came from originally. So here it is, just for you:

“[Object] within the palm of my hand,
Spread the word throughout the land.
You’re no longer just a [object],
But a charm to [intention/purpose].
And so it is and it is so.”

(Alternatively, you can end it with, “By the power of three times three, as I will, so mote it be.” But that’s not really my style. I like to stick to the “And so it is and it is so.”) Where the chant says [Object] you put the name of the object, and where it says, [intention/purpose] you put your intention there. So … example:

“Black stone in the palm of my hand,
Spread the word throughout the land.
You’re no longer just a small black stone,
But a charm for sending evil back to its home.
And so it is and it is so.”

Another one:

“Cinnamon stick in the palm of my hand,
Spread the word throughout the land.
You’re no longer just a stick of spice,
But a charm for luck when I’m rolling the dice.
And so it is and it is so.”

Have fun!
